Restorative dental treatment is a branch of dentistry that repairs the loss of material in dental hard tissues caused by caries or non-carious reasons, and contributes to the restoration of lost aesthetics and function to the patient. Aesthetic dentistry gives patients an aesthetic appearance by improving tooth shape, form and color.

Many techniques are applied in restorative dental treatment. These include direct or indirect composite filling-veneer applications , porcelain aesthetic studies, smile design, teeth whitening applications, treatments for dentin sensitivity, vital pulp treatments, restoration applications before prosthesis.

Laminate veneers, also called leaf porcelain, are thin porcelain plates adhered to the tooth surface. Porcelain laminate veneers are a fast, aesthetic and safe way to straighten bad looking front teeth. With this method, prominent permanent stains, a certain amount of crowded, disproportionate, intermittent, small or distorted teeth can be corrected.
